三类不同主张three different claims
Shadow、dream、myth 与 symbol 可以作为阅读自我、叙事与文化的语言。 在这一层，它们提供问题和隐喻；它们不是对因果机制的测量。Shadow, dream, myth, and symbol can serve as languages for reading the self, narrative, and culture. At this level they offer questions and metaphors; they are not measurements of causal mechanisms.
这些概念在深度心理学的历史中形成了持久的词汇，也持续进入文学、艺术与大众文化。 历史影响说明一个思想被使用过，不等于它已经通过现代实验验证。These concepts formed a lasting vocabulary in the history of depth psychology and continue to enter literature, art, and popular culture. Historical influence shows that an idea has been used; it does not mean the idea has passed modern experimental validation.
现代研究可以分别考察投射、自我差异、内隐态度或动机性推理等相邻现象； 这些局部证据不能反向证明一整套象征系统。没有测量，就不写成定律。Modern research can separately examine adjacent phenomena such as projection, self-discrepancy, implicit attitudes, or motivated reasoning. Such local evidence cannot retroactively validate an entire symbolic system. Without measurement, it is not written as law.
