# miaolay cat v1 · P1S + AMS

The included P1S + AMS project was successfully sliced by official Bambu Studio 2.8.2.61 on 2026-09-05, with return code 0 and no slicing warnings. Four material regions, the 100 mm height, manifold geometry, P1S bed limits, and the process settings were checked. This is still a digital prototype: it has not been physically test-printed.

The verified slice estimates **31 h 36 min**, **418.1 g total PLA**, and **689 color changes**. Model plus support account for approximately **76.9 g**; flushing and the prime tower account for the remaining **341.2 g**. These are slicer estimates for the supplied Generic PLA setup, not measured consumption. The conservative charcoal-to-ivory flushing preserves the light face but makes the four-color trial expensive.

## Files and import

1. Open **miaolay-cat-v1-P1S-AMS.3mf as a project** in Bambu Studio. It already includes the official **Bambu Lab P1S 0.4 nozzle**, **Textured PEI Plate**, 0.12 mm process, four color assignments, generated supports, prime tower and verified slice. Retain the official machine start/end code and excluded bed area.
2. Match the four filament entries to your actual PLA profiles and AMS slots using the table below. A stored filament entry number is not knowledge of which spool is physically loaded. Review the resulting slice before printing; re-slice after changing a spool profile, temperature, scale, position or process setting.
3. The separate `miaolay-cat-v1-print-settings.json` is optional for the complete project. For a new project, use **File → Import → Import Configs** and select **miaolay cat v1 - P1S 0.12mm AMS** in Process.
4. The portable geometry-only `miaolay-cat-v1.3mf` and color STLs are also provided for editing. They do not include the native Bambu settings. Import all color parts together as one object with multiple parts; keep their shared coordinates and assign the four materials. Do not arrange or drop color parts independently.
5. Preserve the **100 mm** upright assembly with its flat base on the bed, and keep the face toward the printer front (approximately negative Y) so the back seam stays away from it. The complete project has a valid plate arrangement. Save a separately named project after your spool mapping and first-print adjustments.

Use compatible 1.75 mm PLA for all four entries, preferably the same product family. Select the exact material profile for each actual spool. For ordinary unlisted PLA, the official **Generic PLA** preset is the starting point; its 2.8.2.61 defaults include **220 °C nozzle**, **55 °C Textured PEI bed**, and **12 mm³/s maximum volumetric flow**. Those are material starting values, not a calibration result for an unknown spool. Keep the spool maker's temperature limits and the selected material's cooling/flow calibration. Temperature and fan settings belong to the filament preset and are intentionally not placed in the process JSON. The 0.12 mm system process used as the parent explicitly supports the P1S despite the `@BBL X1C` name. Its unlisted settings remain inherited. ## Review the first slice

- In filament-color preview, inspect the eyes, mouth, bow, tail, and body boundaries layer by layer. Tiny facial features must remain actual extrusion paths. Do not accept a preview that drops an eye or merges the mouth into surrounding color.
- Inspect the first layers under the chin, bow, ears, tail, and paws. Retain supports where these regions otherwise start in air; adjust support painting to reduce unnecessary facial contact without leaving islands. Automatic supports are an initial proposal.
- Recalculate the flushing-volume matrix after setting the real filament colors. Keep the normal multiplier for the first trial, especially for charcoal-to-ivory transitions; do not substitute a made-up universal purge amount. The prime tower remains enabled.
- Confirm no collision/bed-boundary warning, correct color-to-AMS mapping, and enough filament. The P1S has a nominal 256 × 256 × 256 mm volume; Bambu Studio's default height and cutter exclusion reduce what is immediately available. This 100 mm model does not require overriding those limits. - Read the actual sliced time and filament/purge estimates. Run the first print at normal speed with bed leveling. After cooling, remove supports gently and compare the face to the reference before treating v1 as print-validated.

STL stores geometry, not colors, AMS mappings, or print settings. Use the assembled multi-part model for four-color printing; use the merged STL for a single-color study.

2. 按下表将四个耗材条目对应到真实 PLA 耗材参数和 AMS 槽位。工程内的耗材编号无法代替实际装入的线盘信息。打印前检查切片；修改耗材参数、温度、缩放、摆放或工艺后，重新切片。
3. 完整工程无需重复导入独立预设。新建工程时，可通过 **文件 → 导入 → 导入配置** 导入 `miaolay-cat-v1-print-settings.json`，并在工艺中选择 **miaolay cat v1 - P1S 0.12mm AMS**。
4. 另附便于编辑的纯几何 `miaolay-cat-v1.3mf` 和分色 STL，不含拓竹原生工艺。所有颜色部件应按“一个对象包含多个零件”一起导入，保持公共坐标并分配四色；不要分别排列或单独落到热床上。
5. 保持 **100 mm** 高的整只猫直立、平底贴板，脸大致朝打印机前方（Y 负方向），让后部接缝避开面部。完整工程已安排有效热床位置。完成实际耗材映射和首件调整后，另存为新工程。

## 首次切片检查

- 在耗材颜色预览中逐层核对眼睛、嘴、蝴蝶结、尾巴与身体的分色。细小面部特征必须仍有真实挤出路径；出现眼睛消失或嘴部与周围颜色连成一片时，需要先修正。
- 检查下巴、蝴蝶结、耳朵、尾巴与爪子的起始层。对原本会悬空起印的区域保留支撑；通过支撑绘制减少不必要的面部接触，同时避免无支撑孤岛。自动支撑只是初始安排。
- 设置真实颜色后，重新计算冲刷体积矩阵。首次使用正常冲刷倍率，尤其关注炭黑切换象牙白；不使用凭空填写的统一冲刷量。保持擦料塔开启。
- 核对无碰撞或超出热床警告、AMS 映射正确、耗材余量充足。P1S 标称空间为 256 × 256 × 256 mm，但切片软件默认高度与切刀禁入区域会限制直接可用空间；100 mm 模型不需要解除这些限制。[官方 P1S 参数与空间说明](https://au.store.bambulab.com/products/p1s)。
- 以真实切片结果读取时间、耗材与冲刷估计。首次按正常速度并执行热床调平；冷却后轻拆支撑，对照原图检查面部，再把 v1 标记为实物验证通过。

STL 仅保存几何，不保存颜色、AMS 映射或打印参数。四色打印使用保持组合关系的多部件模型；合并 STL 适合单色试样。
